The New International Version (NIV) is a contemporary English translation of the Bible. Published by Biblica, the complete NIV debuted in 1978, underwent minor revision in 1984, and received a major update in 2011. The translation draws from recently-published critical editions of original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts. This compact edition features burgundy bonded leather binding with gold-edged pages, making it portable while maintaining readability across all 1,164 pages.
