This resource helps pastors connect with congregations through innovative biblical engagement. Rather than offering general preaching guidance, it introduces contemporizing restatement of Scripture. The authors invite readers to imagine what the text might have looked like if produced in the preacher’s own culture, time, and place. Drawing on translation theory, genre studies, and hermeneutical perspectives, the book provides both comprehensive theoretical frameworks and practical guidelines with examples for implementing incarnational translation approaches.
