This Bible represents a collaborative effort by Friendship Press, the National Council of Churches, and the Society of Biblical Literature to update the NRSV translation. The publishers describe it as the world’s most meticulously researched, rigorously reviewed, and faithfully accurate English-language Bible translation.
The NRSV Updated Edition (NRSVue) incorporates recent scholarship applied to ancient texts, helping readers understand scriptural meanings within their original cultural contexts. The translation prioritizes literal accuracy to ensure clarity for both lay readers and biblical scholars.
