A children’s picture book retelling Noah’s ark story through verse. The narrative follows animals boarding a vessel, opening with “Cats and dogs and elephants / Slugs, leopards and lice” and explaining why certain creatures like whales are excluded. McGough’s whimsical interpretation offers “a fun-filled and light-hearted version” suited for ages 4-8, featuring charming illustrations throughout. Adults appreciate this refreshing alternative to conventional retellings of the biblical narrative.
