This illustrated edition presents the complete text from the Complete Jewish Bible alongside artistic illustrations and brief story summaries suitable for young children. The narrative can be enjoyed year-round but holds special significance during Purim, the festival commemorating Queen Esther’s courageous actions and her people’s deliverance.
Though the divine name does not appear in the text, the story emphasizes how Mordecai and Esther humbled themselves before God by fasting and praying, which showed dependence upon him. The account demonstrates God’s providence as He answered their prayers, delivered the Jewish people, and brought the antagonist Haman to justice.
