This children’s book explores acceptance through a biblical narrative. Not many people like Zacchaeus the tax collector. But when Zacchaeus climbs a tree to see Jesus, Jesus calls him down to talk. The story then poses the question of how onlookers will respond to this unexpected encounter.
Designed as a Level One I Can Read! book, it targets early readers working on phonetic skills. It corresponds to guided reading level I and appeals to children in pre-K through 3rd grade, making it an accessible introduction to biblical storytelling for young learners.
