The New International Version (NIV) represents a contemporary English translation of the Bible. Biblica released the complete version in 1978, followed by minor revisions in 1984 and a significant revision in 2011. The translation draws from recently-published critical editions of the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts.
